Men’s 100% Silk Tie -19. MASAMUNE- Stripe Pattern Made in Japan (Dark Navy Blue)
Nishijin Kyoto silk necktie with Date Masamune stripe pattern
Masamune was a famous regional SAMURAI of Japan's Azuchi–Momoyama period through early Edo period and known as ruler in Sendai city, Miyagi prefecture. He was often called the "One-Eyed Dragon".He is also known as very fashionable SAMURAI, because of his unique crescent-moon-bearing helmet which became the model for "STAR WARS" Darth Vader.
Colors of stripe pattern are imaged from a golden crescent moon of his helmet and Japanese traditional color called "KACHI-IRO". KACHI-IRO is dark navy which seems like almost black, and this color is known for lucky color which brings "victory" to people and loved by many SAMURAI worriers.
In the inner Nishijin Kyoto silk lining, we placed golden cherry blossoms, a symbol of Sendai's revival, and wish for the bright future of Sendai's reconstruction, which was Masamune's territory in the past.
